The Heather Downs Community Pool has been a jewel of the neighborhood for over 50 years! The pool was established in 1961 with the subdivision of 60 houses whose owners opted-in to hold 1/60th stock in the pool.

The pool is located at the southeast corner of Heather Street and Laurel Avenue. Many people don’t even know it exists due to the privacy supplied by arbor vitae foliage! We have a large pool with a 3-4 foot shallow end and a deep end of 9 feet with a diving board. There is also a small wading pool that is 1-2 feet deep for little ones and their parents can monitor them using chairs or loungers in this fenced-in area. We have a propane grill for member use. Lifeguards are present at the big pool to ensure safety. For entertainment, free Wi-Fi is provided along with a magazine exchange bin and there are speakers playing fun music for relaxing. We offer swim lessons at an unbeatable price and our swim team provides a fun sport for kids from June to mid-July. All members are invited to attend our season kick-off and season-ending pool parties!

The pool is a non-profit organization that depends heavily upon the pool board (whose members must be stockholders) and community members to keep it going! It is a wonderful resource for our community and a great place to get to know your neighbors.
